Joey Fortman has been in the radio and TV industry for over 15 years. After graduating high school from a small town in Illinois, Joey took off for college in Kentucky and never looked back. (Only to visit her parents of course!)
Joey hosted radio shows in major markets across the country, including mornings in Chicago at 9FM and also on the legendary WTMX, Chicago. After moving to Philadephia, you may have caught her on Ben FM or WNUW.
Joey currently lives with her sports obsessed husband and 3 year old son, Boston. Yes. She moved from Chicago to Philly and named her son Boston? Blame it on her hubby. Besides-look in the baby name books!
Joey traded in the microphone for the diaper bag. When her son was born in 2008, he not only changed her life...but changed the way she looked at media. In order to document his life for friends and family back home, Joey started Real Mom Media.
You can currently see Joey on PHL-17, hosting Better Philly weekdays at 7am. She is also a frequent guest as a parenting expert on many other Philadelphia media outlets, including Fox 29.
Besides dragging around a diaper bag, 3 year old and hairy dog, Rocky-Joey is also one of 15 women across the
country representing an iVoice for iVillage.
Joey blogs about all things life. From being in the media to being in the toy room. Check out her blog at www.JoeyFortman.com.
